As the company’s name suggests, our main objective is to link the needs of the deep-sea lines, logistics providers and end users through the provision of reliable and pre-agreed feeder connections. The wide span of U.K. ports served will reduce inland haulage and related costs, whilst providing local customers with easier access and availability of their cargoes.
The distribution of containers by sea through local Ports rather than via the UK Road and Rail networks considerably reduces CO2 emissions. Feederlink’s head office is based in Rotterdam/The Neterlands and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Irish Continental Group PLC based at Dublin. Related companies are; Irish Ferries Ltd/Dublin, Eucon Shipping & Transport Ltd/Dublin, Dublin Ferryport Terminals, and Belfast Container Terminal.
Our company is represented in South-Shields, Teesport and Grangemouth by Messrs Denholm-Barwil LTD, and at Immingham by ABPconnect, whilst our interests at Felixstowe are being cared for by our own Feederlink office and personnel. Dear all,
It is with deep regret that we have to inform you of the death of our great friend, colleague and Managing Director of Feederlink, Harry Kleipas, after a short illness.
Harry joined I.C.G. in 1993 to set up Feederlink and from humble beginnings he built the Company into the leading Short Sea Feeder Shipping Line on the North Sea.
We are devastated by his death at such a young age.
To his wife Ans, sons Jeroen and Marco, and newly arrived granddaughter Fenna we send our heartfelt condolences.
Harry will be missed not only by his family, his friends and work colleagues but throughout the Container shipping industry.
The funeral will be held on Thursday the 15th of December, here you can read the memorial card, due to this our office will be closed that day.
May he rest in peace.
